Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 12 October 2026
In short: StaleSnap is provided by NexArch, a sole trader in Spain. Orders are processed by Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record. Plans are monthly, start with a 14-day free trial and can be cancelled at any time. Only point StaleSnap at documentation and apps you are authorised to capture.
1. Who we are
StaleSnap (the “Service”) is provided by Mateo Castro Souto, a sole trader (empresario individual / autónomo) established in Spain and trading as NexArch (“NexArch”, “we”, “us”), tax ID (NIF) 58021740P, address Avenida Cristina 75, 4º B, 15100 Carballo (A Coruña), España, email support@stalesnap.com. Full details are in the legal notice.
These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) apply to the website at stalesnap.com and to the Service. By creating an account or starting a subscription you accept them on behalf of yourself and of the organisation you represent (the “Customer”, “you”).
2. Paddle is the Merchant of Record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: Paddle sells the subscription to you, charges your payment method, calculates and collects taxes, issues invoices and processes refunds. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms. Paddle handles questions about payments, invoices and refunds; we handle support for the Service itself.
3. Business use
StaleSnap is a tool for businesses and professionals. By subscribing you confirm that you use the Service for purposes related to your trade, business or profession.
4. Your account
- You must give accurate information and keep your sign-in details confidential. We recommend enabling two-factor authentication.
- You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us without delay at support@stalesnap.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
5. The Service
StaleSnap discovers screenshots in documentation you point it to, captures the screens of your application that you map them to, compares both automatically and reports differences in a dashboard and by email. Comparisons are automated and approximate: StaleSnap can miss changes or flag screenshots that are still correct, and you remain responsible for the accuracy of your documentation. We may improve and change features over time; we will not remove a core feature of your paid plan during a billing period you have already paid for.
6. Subscriptions, prices and payment
- Plans, prices and limits are described on the pricing page. Prices are in US dollars and include applicable taxes; the checkout shows the final amount for your country before you pay.
- Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance by Paddle and renew automatically each month until cancelled.
- You can switch plans from the Billing page of the dashboard. The change takes effect immediately and Paddle charges or credits the prorated difference.
- If a payment fails, the Service keeps working for 7 days. After that, until the payment succeeds, your account is limited to the features available without a plan (no check runs).
- We may change prices for future billing periods. We will tell you by email at least 30 days in advance, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
7. Free trial
- Each plan starts with a 14-day free trial, started from the Billing page. Paddle may ask for a payment method when the trial starts.
- Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription converts into a paid subscription and Paddle charges the first monthly payment when the trial ends.
- Trials are intended for one per Customer. We may refuse or end a trial in case of abuse.
8. Cancellation
- You can cancel at any time from the Billing page (“Manage billing”, which opens Paddle's customer portal) or by writing to support@stalesnap.com.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period (or of the trial). You keep access to your plan until then and you will not be charged again.
- After cancellation your account stays available with the features of an account without a plan. You can delete your projects at any time.
- You can delete your account yourself from the dashboard (Account → Delete account). Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone; any active subscription or trial is cancelled immediately first, and the rest of a period you have paid for is not refunded except as set out in the refund policy. What is deleted and what is kept is described in the privacy policy.
- Payments for periods that have started are not refunded except as set out in the refund policy.
9. Refunds
You can get a full refund within 14 days of your first payment. Refunds are processed by Paddle. The details are in the refund policy.
10. Acceptable use
Apps and documentation you point StaleSnap at
- You may only configure StaleSnap to crawl documentation and to sign in to and capture applications that you own or that you are authorised to access and capture in an automated way. If an application belongs to a third party (for example, your client), you must have its permission.
- You must not use the Service to access systems without authorisation, to bypass security measures, to probe or attack networks, to overload a site, or in breach of a third party's terms.
Demo credentials
- The sign-in details you give us must belong to a dedicated demo or test account that you are entitled to use for this purpose, with the minimum permissions needed to show the screens you map.
- The demo account should contain sample data only. Do not use accounts that give access to real customer data, payment functions or administrative operations.
- You are responsible for those credentials and for changing them if you believe they were exposed. We store them encrypted and use them only to capture the screens you configure.
Other restrictions
- No unlawful content or activity, malware, or infringement of others' rights.
- No attempts to circumvent plan limits, rate limits or security controls, or to access other customers' data.
- No reselling or sublicensing the Service without our written agreement.
We may suspend the affected projects or your account if we reasonably believe these rules are being broken, or if needed to protect the Service, other customers or third parties. Where possible we will tell you first.
11. Your content and data
- You keep all rights to your documentation, your application and the images StaleSnap downloads or captures for you (“Customer Content”). You give us the right to process Customer Content only to provide the Service to you.
- You confirm that you have the rights needed for us to process Customer Content.
- How we handle personal data is described in the privacy policy. Where captures of your application contain personal data, we process it on your behalf as a processor; a data processing agreement is available on request.
12. Our intellectual property
The Service, its software and its branding belong to NexArch or its licensors. During your subscription we give you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service under these Terms. Suggestions you send us may be used to improve the Service without obligation.
13. Availability and support
We work to keep the Service available and secure but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation; maintenance and events outside our control can cause interruptions. Support is provided by email at support@stalesnap.com.
14. Warranties and liability
- To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is”, without warranties that it will detect every outdated screenshot or fit a particular purpose.
- Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill.
- Our total liability arising from the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in those 12 months.
- You are responsible for claims by third parties arising from your breach of section 10, in particular from capturing applications you were not authorised to capture.
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability for wilful misconduct (dolo), gross negligence or anything else that cannot be limited under applicable law.
15. Termination
You can stop using the Service and cancel at any time. We may terminate your account for a serious or repeated breach of these Terms, or with 30 days' notice for any other reason, in which case we will refund the unused part of any prepaid period.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will tell you about material changes by email or in the dashboard at least 30 days before they apply; if you do not agree, you can cancel before then.
17. Governing law, jurisdiction and language
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Disputes are submitted to the courts of the place of NexArch's domicile in Spain, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
These Terms are available in English and Spanish. If the two versions differ, the Spanish version prevails for customers and users in Spain and the English version in all other cases.
